MyBreathing is designed to work without a developer account, advertising, analytics, tracking, or a developer-operated server.
MyBreathing stores practice history, session duration, breath-hold times, and optional post-session check-ins in protected local storage so they remain available offline. When iCloud is available, this information is also synchronized between the user's devices through Apple's CloudKit service and the user's private iCloud database.
The private CloudKit database belongs to the user, counts toward the user's iCloud storage, and is not visible to the developer through the developer portal. MyBreathing does not use a developer-operated server and does not receive the synchronized practice information.
Removing MyBreathing from one device does not by itself remove synchronized history from iCloud or other devices. Deleting an individual entry or using Delete All Practice Data in Settings > Privacy & Data removes that practice information locally and sends the deletion to iCloud and the user's other devices when synchronization completes.
Users can manage iCloud access in Apple system settings. If iCloud is unavailable, the app continues to use its local copy and synchronization resumes when the service becomes available again.
Favorites, app settings, voice and feedback preferences, and reminder choices remain on the device where they were selected. They are not included in MyBreathing's CloudKit synchronization and are not transmitted to the developer or to advertising or analytics providers.
Practice history can be exported as a JSON file from Settings > Privacy & Data. The export contains the history available on that device when the export is created.
If the user explicitly enables Apple Health, MyBreathing writes completed practices to Apple's Health store as Mindful Session records. MyBreathing does not read Health data. Health records are managed by Apple Health and remain there until the user removes them through Apple Health. Future writing can be disabled at any time in MyBreathing or in iOS Settings.
If the user explicitly enables practice reminders, iOS schedules the selected notifications on the device. Reminder settings can be changed or disabled at any time in MyBreathing or iOS Settings.
MyBreathing does not sell personal information, share it with advertising or analytics providers, or track activity across other companies' apps or websites. The app contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDK. Apple processes iCloud, Health, and notification data under Apple's own terms and privacy policy.
